We recently recorded a Messianic Good News Conference in Johannesburg organised by Messianic Good News ( http://www.givengain.com/cgi-bin/giga.cgi?c=1507 )

The response was overwhelmingly positive. The intention was to challenge some of the popular views of the end-times and to stimulate people to examine what they have been taught more carefully in the light of Scripture. Realising how controversial and emotive the subject matter can be, the response from most people was very encouraging.

One lady commented: "With hind sight, it was one of the best conferences I've attended, most certainly from the point of view that it was not just a repeat by speakers of what they've heard other speakers saying. It was all new/ fresh stuff, challenging a lot of 'common wisdom/ thinking'.

Others expressed similar sentiments commenting that they wished they had brought their friends with them as they had found it so stimulating and thought provoking.

The first talk by Stephen Sizer dealt with the question of "Who is Israel?" from a theological perspective. This presentation, which is taken from a chapter of his book "Zions' Christian Soldiers", can be viewed on Stephen Sizer's website under the title of  Israel and the Church: Who are God's chosen people?

The second talk by Kevin Daly entitled "The Good News to Israel and the nations" compares the good news as it is presented in the New Testament with the good news that many are proclaiming for Israel, stressing that what God promised to Abraham he has fulfilled by the resurrection of Christ and that it is only in the resurrection that the eternal promise to Abraham is secured. 

The third topic on the subject of "The promised Land - to whom does it belong?" was presented by Stephen Sizer and was also taken from the book "Zions Christian Soldiers." It can be viewed on his website under the title of "The promised Land - from the Nile to the Euphrates?"

Peter Cohen talked on "The tribulation" and Alan Morrison spoke on "the Millennium" and "the Restoration of all things"
